Becoming a Rider

We have successfully offered lessons to riders from 22 months to 79 years of age with an even broader spectrum of disabilities. There is a magic, for many, when their lives are joined with the special spirit each horse brings to the relationship. This activity, along with the therapeutic gains provided by the actual movement of the horse, might make this right choice for you.


However, the first consideration should to be whether the activity is appropriate and safe given your specific circumstances. We ask that all of disabled clients have the recommendation of their physician before participating.


The actual process is outlined below for the various riding options


Therapeutic Riding


    1 hr & ½ hr (Group)
  • Obtain and complete the following forms
    • "Rider Information & Release" and "Medical release" See link below

  • Call (756-8900) or email our admissions coordinator for an intake appointment
  • Bring all your completed paperwork to the intake appointment.

    ½ hr Enhanced Therapeutic (Private)
  • Obtain and complete the following forms
    • "Rider Information & Release" and "Medical release" See link below

  • Call (756-8900) or email our admissions coordinator for a licensed Professional’s Evaluation & Treatment Plan appointment.

Hippotherapy (Private - 45 minute session)


  • Obtain and complete the following forms
    • "Rider Information & Release" and "Medical release" See link below

  • Call (756-8900) or email our admissions coordinator for a Licensed Professional’s Evaluation &Treatment Plan appointment.

Special Activity Group(s)


  • Call (756-8900) and arrange for a scheduled date and time
  • Obtain and complete the following forms
    • "Rider Information & Release" and "Medical release" See link below

  • Bring these completed forms with you 10 minutes before your scheduled time
