Short Term Volunteer Form


We have two tracks to consider for regular, scheduled group volunteering.


Track A - Labor Duties Only


Commit to Serve Every Other Week during the quarter you’ve contacted us


  • Completion of a "Short-Term" Volunteer Application form


  • Review the Safety Rules on the back portion of the application expressing a willingness to follow the guidelines as outlined and complete the signature area


  • Regular, Scheduled Service Groups will need to provide adequate, attentive, involved adult supervision of those attending with you. You will need to commit to serving at least every other week during the quarter you contact us in.


    • Adult Leaders will need to check in each time and make sure all your participants have turned in their properly signed application

  • Typically individuals will be providing labor around the facility as needed,
    • Cleaning stalls & paddocks
    • Cleaning and/or filling troughs
    • Sweeping
    • Removing trash to the dumpster
    • > Cleaning Bathrooms
    • Cleaning Tack
    • Taking care of flowerbeds/grounds
    • Removing snow
    • Moving Hay

Track B - Labor Duties with opportunity to certify for "Catch and Release" and "Side Walker"

Completion of a "Short-Term" Volunteer Application form


Review the Safety Rules on the back portion of the application expressing a willingness to follow the guidelines as outlined and complete the signature area


  • Regular, Scheduled Service Groups will need to provide adequate, attentive, involved adult supervision of those attending with you
    • One or more of the leaders will need to become proficient in teaching the certification of "Catch and Release" and/or "Side Walker" if their group has an ever changing population or
    • We will schedule the entire group to come in for a one time training session after they have completed their academic training first. This is available on-line or you can get a study packet from the office.

    ONE TIME ONLY GROUPS WILL BE A RARE EXCEPTION BASED ON A SPECIFIC NEED OF THE CENTER
